Messages from the Celtic Messages, & the Shadowscapes Tarot – Your Meanings:
Celtic Messages: The Maypole – Celebration, Pleasure.
The Maypole is an ancient fertility symbol, and processing or dancing around it an ancient fertility ritual. A physical representation of spring and regeneration, the Maypole conveys the hope of new life.
The Maypole symbolizes exhilaration, excitement, and the potential for new life, wether physical, in the form of a baby, or a change of attitude or life path. Explore and express your individuality, and use your natural talents to best effect. Seek out places where you can meet new people, and be prepared to listen as well as talk. Live life to the full. Learn to take pleasure in yourself and those around you.
Celtic Messages: Blodeuwedd – Secrets, Solitude, Love.
The beautiful creation of a magician, Blodeuwedd (which means “face of a flower”) was fashioned from the blossom of meadowsweet, oak and broom to wed the son of a goddess. However, Blodeuwedd loved another and so she was transformed into an owl, so as “never to show her face to the light of day”. She symbolises self-will and the determination to decide your own fate.
Blodeuwedd represents an intimate friend, lover or soul mate who will guard your secrets as closely as their own. She teaches you to listen to your heart. She may also be warning you not to betray the secrets of others, no matter how tempting it may be.
Shadowscapes Tarot: XVII The Star.
In the darkest of nights, only the stars shine in the heavenly skies – singing brightly, brilliantly.
This goddess of night, goddess of stars, stone, water and air, dances lightly upon the surface of the stream, the surface of her dreams – reaching to the stars – all is one in her presence, in her power of peace. The heavens watch over her, and the earth supports her. As above, so below, so within.
This card comes as a symbol of your dreams and desires, emotional freedom, and your connection with the Stars, and the Earth – for you, yourself, are made of both. You are proof of the power of gods. You are water and star-dust walking. Since ancient times, stories, legends and myths tell of our connections – and in modern times, so does science.
When you understand that your continual focus upon a thing, coupled with a matching emotion, can manifest into your reality, you understand also, that you are the creator of your life, and your dreams.
You are a Star! Your really are (science fact!), and this card encourages you to reach high, and to follow any positive and repetitive thoughts, as these will move you closer to manifesting your heartfelt desires. Keep hope and faith close to your heart, and move forward confidently, releasing and letting go of what is no longer serving your highest good.
Affirmation: I tread lightly and know that I am safe and supported by the Universe. I am willing and open to manifesting my dreams. I follow my instincts and my happiness.
Shadowscapes Tarot: X The Wheel of Fortune.
The Wheel of Destiny, Fate, Cycles – all that is, was and will be – is woven into the fabric of time and space – your own golden thread included, too.
In the stained glass window of the Wheel, a golden knot work thread is set by fat – it has no beginning and no end. It cycles on, through the heat of Summer, the fall of Autumn leaves, through the deep sleep of Winter, and re-awakens fresh in the bloom of Spring. The cycles are absolute, and they weave harmoniously with each other as the Fates intended.
Such is Life.
This card comes to remind you of the cycles – the ups and downs of life – always present, always changing. Things, by nature, never remain the same, but flow with the cycle of releasing the old to make way for the new.
When life gets challenging, take a moment, breathe, and step back to gain a different perspective. By doing this, you allow yourself to gain a better and bigger picture, assisting you to receive a greater understanding and awareness of things around you, or in your life.
Release and let go of any fears, doubts, and negative self talk to God, your guides, or your angels. Make sure that you are getting enough of the basics such as sleep, water, nourishing foods, and warm and safe shelter. Even laughter and music! All of these are of great benefit to your mind, body, soul and your ultimate wellbeing.
Affirmation: I am healthy. I make healthy choices for my mind, body, soul, and happiness. I now release and let go of anything that does not serve my highest good.
So Mote It Be.
With much love and healing blessings, I wish you well upon your journey ~ Arohanui & Namaste ~ Carolyn x
